BUFFALO, N.Y., USA, September 13th, 2018 — Providing the United States (U.S.) Navy with a state-of-the-art human performance technology built to support the function and wellbeing of the Sailor, CoachMePlus and The Informatics and Application Group (tiag®) is now expanding the Warrior Performance Platform (WP2™) after a successful Phase I effort. Prototyping a solution to promote nutrition, wellness, physical activity, recovery and readiness in Phase II of the powerful Human Performance Self-Service Kiosk and Application (HPPSK&A).
WP2™ is a Department of Defense purpose-built technology built through the teaming of CoachMePlus and tiag® that provides military operations with a cutting-edge sport science research and pioneering software to safeguard both health and performance. Each enlisted Sailor has access to an individual portal designed to personalize nutrition, training, recovery, and wellness programs that maximize their recovery and resilience on the sea or land.
“U.S. Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) and the Navy demand real measurable improvements in performance and Sailor wellbeing,” CoachMePlus CEO Teo Balbach said. “Both monitoring and nutritional elements are essential to raising the standards of our enlisted men and women, and this real-time sharing of information will help turn data into actionable insights. Monitoring enlisted men and women that are serving all over the world aboard Navy vessels, in real-time, requires both an intuitive platform and fully compliant the latest standards in military-grade encryption.”
Warrior Performance Platform
The Navy requires synchronization with USDA MyPlate, the U.S. Navy Operational and Fitness Fueling System (NOFFS) , the Department of Defense Go for Green® (G4G) program, and other Navy systems. The platform includes training inventory that is compliant with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
CoachMePlus is partnering with both tiag ® (The Informatics Applications Group., Inc) and Research and Engineering Development, LLC (RED-INC) to support Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) as well as the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR). In addition to supporting the Navy, CoachMePlus clients range from champion professional teams, top college programs, the performing arts, leading private training facilities, and other branches of the military. It should be noted, that teaming partner tiag® was recently awarded as the prime contractor for the Information Management / Information Technology (IM/IT) support for the ArmyFit program, which aligns with the type of work and knowledge that is required for the WP2 platform.
